Learning & Development Manager
Location: Remote (For Non-Local) or Hybrid (Local to NYC area)
Position Summary:
As the Learning & Development Manager, you will be a key individual contributor, responsible for program facilitation, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, and fostering collaborative partnerships with stakeholders across the organization. In this role, you will drive employee performance and professional growth through the design, development, execution, and continuous improvement of high-impact development programs. With your expertise in learning program management, you will deliver seamless learning experiences that empower employees to reach their full potential.
This role requires a proactive approach, as you will play an instrumental part in expanding our learning ecosystem. The ideal candidate demonstrates agility in new and evolving situations, thrives with minimal supervision, and possesses a passion for creating learning opportunities that align with organizational goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Learning Program Development:
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and design solutions for leadership development, career growth, and other key skill areas.
- Develop and deliver development programs in a variety of learning formats, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), and blended learning solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to curate relevant learning content.
- Measure program effectiveness using feedback and data analysis, applying insights to continuous improvements.
- Program Coordination:
- Support the logistics and administration of development programs, including scheduling, learner communication, and evaluation.
- Assist with managing relationships with external learning vendors and partners to source or implement additional learning content and solutions.
- LMS Administration:
- Maintain and update the LMS, including content uploads, managing user access, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ensure compliance training is assigned, tracked, and reported to relevant stakeholders.
- Generate insights from LMS data to evaluate learner progress, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
- Work with internal teams to implement new features, learning paths, and system upgrades.
- Provide system support and training to other LMS administrators, department SMEs, content managers, and instructors.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with People Operations, department leaders, and the L&D Leader to align learning initiatives with organizational goals.
- Act as a point of contact for learning queries, ensuring consistent communication and engagement with learners and stakeholders.
- Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources or Learning & Development function.
- Background in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
- Experience with learning technology tools like LXP, LMS, LRS, xAPI, virtual classroom systems.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and learning and development best practices.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Functionally advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft Office Power Point, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with UKG LMS is strong plus.
- DiSC certification and/or facilitation experience is a plus.
